About the Role
Our client, a leader in the technology and digital solutions space, is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to join their team. As a QA Automation Engineer, you will report to the QA Lead / Manager and play a key role in building, enhancing, and maintaining automated testing frameworks to ensure high-quality software delivery.The ideal candidate will have strong experience in test automation, proficiency in tools such as Selenium/Python, and expertise in API testing, which will align successfully in the organization.
About the Requirements- Design, develop, and maintain robust test automation frameworks for Web UI and API testing
- Build reusable automation functions, libraries, and keywords to improve testing efficiency and scalability
- Implement automated API testing using tools such as Postman or other frameworks
- Integrate automation frameworks with CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing in daily builds
- Generate and maintain automated test execution reports for analysis and decision-making
- Perform functional, regression, and performance testing to ensure application quality
- Work with tools such as Selenium, Python, JMeter, Robot Framework, and Postman
- Conduct requirements analysis, ensuring clear test scenarios and coverage
- Collaborate closely with developers, product teams, and QA stakeholders to define testing strategies
- Ensure high test coverage, reliability, and performance of applications
- Contribute to test planning, test case design, and defect tracking processes
- Work on cloud-based applications and environments, ensuring compatibility and performance
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
- Identify, log, and track defects while ensuring proper resolution and retesting
- Continuously improve testing processes and introduce best practices in quality assurance and automation
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent higher education)
- 4–5 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, including at least 3 years in test automation
- Strong hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium and programming in Python
- Experience in API testing using Postman or similar tools
- Familiarity with performance testing tools such as JMeter and frameworks like Robot Framework
- Solid understanding of test principles, test design techniques, and automation strategies
- Experience working with cloud-based applications and environments
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and integration of automated test frameworks
- Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Good communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines effectively
- Positive attitude with strong team spirit and adaptability
