Executive Housekeeper

Job Description

Job Purpose:

This position plays a key role in managing a large multicultural team, optimizing resources, supporting event operations, and enhancing the overall guest experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Infrastructure:

• Oversee all daily housekeeping operations, ensuring optimal service delivery, hygiene, and presentation standards.
• Lead strategic planning and forecasting for major exhibitions, high-profile events, and daily venue operations.
• Develop, implement, and monitor standard operating procedures (SOPs), ensuring compliance with the policies and international standards. (BICS)
• Liaise with event organizers, tenants, and internal departments to align expectations and service outcomes.

• Manage a team of supervisors, coordinators, and frontline staff with focus on motivation, productivity, and performance.
• Develop succession plans, training programs, and conduct periodic performance appraisals to foster staff growth and retention.
• Ensure staff rosters are aligned with business needs while adhering to labor laws and internal policies.
• Promote a culture of service excellence, safety, accountability, and innovation within the department.

• Develop and manage departmental budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources while maintaining service quality.
• Oversee procurement of cleaning supplies, linen, uniforms, and equipment with cost-efficiency and quality assurance.
• Manage vendor and contractor performance through regular audits, compliance checks, and KPI tracking.
• Introduce and implement cost-saving initiatives and productivity-enhancing innovations.

• Ensure all venues present a high standard of cleanliness and ambience for organizers, delegates, exhibitors, and visitors.
• Address escalated guest complaints or issues with prompt and professional resolution.
• Regularly review guest and stakeholder feedback, initiating service improvements as required.
• Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support seamless operational coordination.

• Champion environmental sustainability by integrating waste segregation, green chemicals, and energy-efficient practices.
• Collaborate with the sustainability team to ensure alignment with DWTCs environmental goals and regulatory requirements.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and innovations, introducing suitable technologies and practices to enhance housekeeping performance.

Minimum Qualifications/Education/Experience/Training/Knowledge:

• Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Hospitality, Hotel Management, or related field
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar position from relevant organization.
• Basic knowledge of Computer (Word, Excel, power point / Oracle.
• Proficiency in MS Office, housekeeping systems (e.g., MICROS, Oracle, CAFM), and reporting tools
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills across multicultural teams
• Proven experience in cost control, and supplier management
• Knowledge of sustainability initiatives, waste management, and environmental compliance is preferred
