Junior Planning Engineer

Employment: Full Time
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Planning Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will assist in developing, maintaining, and monitoring project schedules to ensure timely completion of construction projects. The Junior Planning Engineer will work closely with senior planners, project managers, and site teams to support planning activities and ensure project milestones are met.
Key Responsibilities:- Preparing and updating project schedules and programs.
- Producing and submitting daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
- Supporting planning and scheduling activities in close coordination with the project team.
- Project Schedule Development & Maintenance
- Prepare and maintain schedules, incorporating all project phases, milestones, and critical paths.
- Conduct weekly schedule updates reflecting actual progress, variances, and ETC (Estimate to Complete).
- Perform delay analysis and propose recovery plans for approved schedule deviations.
- Progress Monitoring & Reporting
- Generate and submit Daily / Weekly and Monthly Reports
- Collaborative Planning Support
- Lead schedule coordination meetings with subcontractors and client representatives when requested.
- Provide analysis for change orders and mitigation strategies.
- Validate resource-loaded schedules (manpower, equipment, materials).
- Specialized Planning Services
- Prepare Time Impact Analyses (TIA) for claim scenarios.
- Support extension of time (EOT) claims with documented schedule evidence.
- Coordinate with site engineers and subcontractors to ensure accurate progress updates.
- Ensure all planning activities comply with UAE construction standards and client requirements.
- Maintain proper documentation of project schedules, updates, and reports.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
- Basic knowledge of Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar planning software.
- Understanding of construction processes within the UAE market.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork capabilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Candidates with 2-3 years of experience in construction planning or project control within the UAE.
- Primavera P6 certification or equivalent is preferred.
- Knowledge of UAE construction standards and safety regulations is a plus.
