Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented transformation and operational excellence director to lead and drive significant improvements within our people and culture function with a strong emphasis on HRIS and data analytics. In this critical role, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to optimize HR service delivery, enhance efficiency, and drive a data-driven culture of continuous improvement.

You will partner with people and culture leadership and cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, implement best practices, and leverage technology to transform our people operations.

Key responsibilities
  • Strategic leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive transformation and operational excellence strategy for people operations and solutions aligned with the overall people and culture and business objectives.
  • Process optimization: Lead the identification, analysis, and redesign of people processes to streamline workflows, eliminate redundancies, and improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Operational excellence: Drive a culture of continuous improvement within people and culture, implementing methodologies such as Lean, Agile, or other best practices to enhance service delivery, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Technology enablement: Evaluate, recommend, and implement technology solutions to automate processes, improve data management, and enhance the employee experience.
  • Data analytics: Design and deliver comprehensive people data analytics solutions to provide actionable insights, support decision-making, and drive people effectiveness.
  • Performance management: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs) to measure performance, identify areas for improvement, and track progress against goals.
  • Change management: Lead change management initiatives to ensure successful adoption of new processes, technologies, and organizational changes.
  • Stakeholder management: Collaborate with people partners, CEOs, functional leaders, and other stakeholders to understand their needs, communicate progress, and ensure alignment on transformation initiatives.
  • Team leadership: Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team of operational excellence professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
  • Project management: Oversee and manage multiple complex projects related to people operations and solutions transformation, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery of results.
  • Compliance and risk management: Ensure people solutions and operations comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies, and identify and mitigate potential risks.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field; master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in HR operations, shared services, or process improvement with a focus on transformation and operational excellence.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and implementing large- to mid-scale transformation initiatives in an HR shared services environment.
  • Deep understanding of HR processes, best practices, HR data and analytics, and service delivery models.
  • Strong knowledge of HR technology solutions (e.g., HRIS knowledge, case management systems, workflow automation tools).
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, Agile) and project management frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work in a fast-paced environment, and drive results.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and develop high-performing teams.
Preferred qualifications
  • Experience with specific HR technology such as Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle, ServiceNow.
  • Certification in project and/or change management, Lean, and Agile methodologies.
  • Experience in a global organization.
  • Experience in Middle East countries’ employment practices and regulations.
