About the job INSTRUMENTATION DESIGNER

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Instrumentation Designer with proven experience in oil & gas projects, particularly within EPC environments. The ideal candidate will possess strong hands-on design expertise and advanced proficiency in SP3D / E3D, AutoCAD, and MicroStation.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and deliver instrumentation design deliverables, including instrument layout drawings, hook-up drawings, instrument index and data sheets, junction box layouts and wiring diagrams, cable routing and tray layouts (instrumentation scope), installation details and typical drawings
• Create and manage 3D instrumentation models using SP3D / E3D
• Prepare and maintain 2D drawings using AutoCAD and MicroStation
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (Instrumentation, Electrical, Piping, Process, Mechanical) to ensure design integration
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, client standards, and international codes (ISA, IEC)
• Review and incorporate comments from clients, licensors, and internal stakeholders
• Support FEED, detailed engineering, and EPC project phases
• Deliver high-quality outputs within defined project timelines

KEY QUALLIFICATIONS:

• Diploma or Degree in Instrumentation / Electronics Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 15+ years of experience as an Instrumentation Designer
• Mandatory experience in oil & gas EPC or consultancy projects
• Strong hands-on expertise in SP3D / E3D, AutoCAD, MicroStation
• Experience in both greenfield and brownfield projects
• Strong knowledge of instrumentation design standards (ISA, IEC)
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong coordination and communication skills
