Authority Architect | Dubai

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a design consultancy in Dubai that specializes in architecture, interior design, and project delivery across commercial, hospitality, residential, and mixed-use developments.

Our client is seeking an experienced Authority Architect to manage the authority approvals process, ensuring all architectural designs comply with local regulations and obtain the necessary approvals from relevant government authorities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate the end-to-end authority approvals process for architectural projects.
• Prepare, review, and submit drawings, documents, and applications to relevant authorities including Dubai Municipality, DDA, Trakhees, DEWA, Civil Defence, RTA, and other regulatory bodies.
• Ensure all designs comply with local building codes, regulations, and authority requirements.
• Liaise directly with government authorities, clients, consultants, and internal design teams to facilitate approvals.
• Track submission statuses and proactively resolve comments and approval-related issues.
• Coordinate revisions and resubmissions based on authority feedback.
• Support project teams during concept, design development, and construction documentation stages from an approvals perspective.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of UAE building regulations, authority requirements, and permitting processes.
• Assist in obtaining NOCs, permits, and final completion approvals where required.
• Prepare authority compliance reports and approval schedules to ensure project timelines are met.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture.
• Minimum 8 years of experience within the UAE, preferably with a design consultancy.
• Strong knowledge of Dubai authority regulations and approval procedures.
• Proven experience dealing with Dubai Municipality, DDA, Trakhees, Civil Defence, DEWA, and other relevant authorities.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet submission deadlines.

Salary: AED 15,000 - 25,000 per month
