Senior Project Manager Offshore EPCI (Oil & Gas) - Preferred EXPATS / Non-Indians

Travel: Offshore, fabrication yards, and international travel as required

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical, commercial, and leadership capabilities and be accountable for ensuring safe, timely, and profitable project delivery in accordance with contract and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the complete execution of offshore EPCI projects from contract award to final handover.
• Manage multidisciplinary teams across engineering, procurement, fabrication, transportation, installation, and commissioning.
• Establish and maintain detailed project plans, schedules (Primavera P6), budgets, and resource allocations.
• Ensure strict adherence to HSE, quality, and regulatory requirements throughout the project.
• Serve as the primary interface with the client, vendors, subcontractors, classification societies, and internal stakeholders.
• Monitor project progress, performance metrics, and financials; implement corrective actions as necessary.
• Coordinate interface management between topside, subsea, and pipeline scopes across design and execution phases.
• Oversee vessel selection, load-out, marine spreads, and installation execution.
• Prepare and lead project reviews, audits, risk assessments, and management presentations.
• Drive change management, variation orders, and claims in line with contract terms.
• Mentor and develop junior project engineers and support staff.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor&aposs or Masters Degree in Mechanical, Civil, Marine, or Offshore Engineering.
• Minimum 1015 years of relevant experience in offshore EPCI project management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Demonstrated success managing multi-million-dollar offshore projects in oil & gas (e.g., jackets, topsides, pipelines, FPSOs).
• Sound understanding of offshore construction and installation methodologies (lifting, float-over, pipelaying, subsea tie-ins).
• Familiarity with international design and safety standards (API, DNV, ISO, NORSOK).
• Proficiency in project management tools (Primavera P6, MS Project, SAP).
• Excellent leadership, commercial acumen, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written); other languages a plus.

Certifications (Preferred/Required):

• PMP, APM PMQ, or equivalent project management certification.
• Offshore survival and medical certifications (e.g., BOSIET, HUET, OGUK Medical).
• Knowledge of contract types (LSTK, EPIC, EPCI, reimbursable) and risk allocation.

Desirable Attributes:

• Experience working with or for major EPCI contractors or operators (e.g., TechnipFMC, Saipem, McDermott, Subsea 7, TotalEnergies, Shell).
• Strong decision-making and crisis management skills during offshore campaigns.
• Adaptable and capable of working in high-pressure, multicultural environments.

Work Environment:

• Office-based with regular visits to offshore assets, construction yards, and vendor facilities.
• Must be willing to travel internationally and participate in offshore operations when required.
• Must be able to manage projects across different geographic regions and time zones.
