Overview of the role
The Senior Communications Manager is a pivotal role within the group communications team, responsible for driving our employee communication experience, people communication, and internal channel strategies. This role demands a strategic thinker who can lead and execute comprehensive people campaigns across all internal and external platforms that align with our business objectives as well as lead on channel strategy and management.
The Senior Communications Manager will lead our "people" Chapter communication strategy, including the strategy, development, implementation, and execution of people campaigns across internal and external channels. The Senior Communications Manager will also oversee all aspects of our Group employee communication channels (Viva Engage, Intranet, Life events, Emails), including channel strategy, editorial planning, stakeholder alignment, content creation, and analytics.
As a leader, you will guide a team of communication professionals, collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams, and manage external partners to ensure that our employee and people communication initiatives drive engagement and strategic understanding.The ideal candidate is a data-driven communications professional with a deep understanding of employee and people communication, a passion for innovative digital communications, and the ability to adapt to the ever-changing communication landscape.
What you will do- Develop and implement comprehensive and holistic (internal and external) "people" Chapter communication strategy and plan and execute multi-channel people campaigns.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve employee communication channel strategy.
- Oversee and manage employee communication channels with a strategic editorial plan, including content creation.
- Lead editorial meetings with cross-functional/divisional employee communication team, including content planning.
- Develop playbooks and templates for functional/divisional employee communication teams to use.
- Use analytics to monitor and improve employee communication channels and campaigns performance.
- Generate regular reports on key metrics.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to align strategies and business objectives.
- Align strategies, campaigns, and concepts with senior management.
- Liaise with external vendors and agencies to ensure timeliness of deliverables.
- Corporate communications planning and strategy communication.

- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- Experience level: 8+ years in corporate communications, marketing, digital marketing, or a related field.
- Experience from multinational companies outside the UAE.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful communication campaigns across various channels, including internal and external social media.
- Experience in managing and mentoring teams and agencies, with a focus on digital and social media strategies.
- Experienced in listening platforms such as Culture Amp or Qualtrics.
- Understanding of Agile delivery principles and their application within frameworks such as SCRUM or KANBAN.
- Highly proficient and knowledgeable in MS Office applications; Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
