JOB DESCRIPTIONWithin Wood Abu Dhabi, we are actively expanding our project delivery portfolio to include Engineering Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM) Contracts.As part of this growth, we are looking for personnel to join our team, either from internal Wood employees or the external market.
The type of personnel we are looking for is broad ranging including:
Ambitious people that want to grow their career within this exciting contract execution model, where they will gain experience across the full project lifecycle from Detailed Engineering, through Procurement & Fabrication and into the Offshore Execution, covering Construction, Commissioning, Start -up and Handover to Operations.
Experienced personnel with a background in PMC, EPC or EPCM projects, that can take on senior positions within the organisation and use their experience to steer the team to deliver outstanding performance across a portfolio of projects for Major Operators.
Projects within the EPCM model are wide and varied covering both onshore and offshore Brownfield Assets; typical examples include:
Onshore Pipeline Controls System Upgrades
Offshore Aset enhancement projects covering multiple system and equipment on large platforms, Wellhead Towers and Islands

We are actively recruiting and look forward to engaging with you soon.Job Objective:The safe and effective delivery of a portfolio of Brownfield Safety Critical Projects on multiple offshore platforms; including large production complexes (multiple platforms bridge linked) and remote Wellhead Towers, located offshore within the UAE under an EPCM contracting model.
Typical projects include Fire & Gas System Upgrades, Power Upgrades, Control System Upgrades, Flare System Upgrades and Platform Structural Modifications.Effective Construction Execution Planning and delivery, focused on delivering a portfolio of project scopes across production complexes and wellhead towers in line with agreed HSE, Quality, Schedule & Costs.
Efficient management of Jack-up barges to provide accommodation and working area alongside platform and wellhead towers to minimize project cost and schedule.
Efficient management of Construction Contractors workforce to deliver projects safely, to the required standards within budget and schedule.
Provide certainty and confidence to the Client and Wood Project Sponsor, that the contract is being delivered safely with a strong focus on optimization, cost control, risk management, schedule adherence and stakeholder management.RESPONSIBILITIESProject Execution
Develop Construction Execution Plan to maximize efficiencies, reduce cost and schedule.Obtain alignment with all stakeholders on Construction Execution Plan and initiate actions to drive success.
Provide expert knowledge into Design to ensure constructability is built into design, minimize the amount of design deliverables required to achieve safe and efficient execution offshore.
Participation in design review, 3D Model Reviews, Value Engineering, Risk Management workshops, constructability Reviews, PHSERs , IPR etc.
Jointly establish System Breakdown, Mechanical Completions, and Workpack structure with the Commissioning Manager, to drive completion of each project scope.
Key member of the Contract Management Team to prepare and issue ITT for Construction and Commissioning Contract, evaluate proposals, and make recommendation to Client for them to place contract(s).
Establish and manage Construction Management team across the portfolio of projects.
Manage Construction Contractors to deliver projects safely, to the required standards within budget and schedule.
Manage specialist subcontractors for activities such as subsea cable / pipe installation and flare ignition systems.
Establish good working relationships with clients Project Team and Offshore Operations Team to ensure alignment on scope, Method Statements, SIMOP's, Job Risk Assessments etc. to remove or minimize delays during onsite construction phase.
Engage with Clients Marine Logistics Dept. and Construction Contractor to ensure Jack-up barges are correctly specified inspected, approved and on-station when required to meet Construction Schedule.
Ensure safety, quality and environmental responsibilities and accountabilities have been defined and communicated to workers engaged within their area(s) of control
Ensure all workers within their area(s) of control receive appropriate training to perform their work in a safe, legal, and competent manner including any Health and Safety and site-specific inductions.
Initiate safety, quality, and environmental processes within their area(s) of control, including toolbox meetings, inspections, and the identification, assessment, and control of risks in accordance with Wod and client requirements.
Coordinate supply and delivery of equipment, subcontractors, consumables, accommodation, and other project-specific requirements, in accordance with client/contract document specifications and in accordance with Wood Policies & Procedures.
