Role Overview

Our client, an EPC contractor working on an ADNOC onshore project, is seeking an experienced Lead Corrosion & Material Engineer for a six-month project requirement.

The role will provide specialist corrosion and materials engineering support throughout project execution and coordinate closely with relevant engineering disciplines, procurement, vendors and project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead corrosion and materials engineering activities within the assigned project scope.
  • Provide technical input on material selection, corrosion mechanisms and corrosion mitigation requirements.
  • Develop and review materials and corrosion-related specifications and engineering documentation.
  • Coordinate with mechanical, piping, process and other relevant engineering disciplines.
  • Support cathodic protection, coatings, linings and other corrosion-control requirements where applicable.
  • Review vendor documents, material specifications and technical submissions.
  • Support procurement activities involving materials and corrosion-related technical requirements.
  • Support resolution of materials and corrosion-related technical issues.
  • Participate in technical reviews and project coordination meetings.
  • Support compliance with project specifications and applicable ADNOC requirements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Materials Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 15 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Strong background in corrosion and materials engineering within Oil & Gas and EPC projects.
  • Previous ADNOC project experience is mandatory.
  • Strong knowledge of corrosion mechanisms, material selection and corrosion mitigation techniques.
  • Experience with cathodic protection, coatings/linings and materials specifications is advantageous.
  • Experience reviewing vendor documentation and supporting procurement activities.
  • Experience with sour service or other corrosive Oil & Gas operating environments is advantageous.
  • Availability for a six-month project assignment.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be a senior corrosion and materials engineering professional with extensive Oil & Gas EPC experience, strong technical knowledge of material selection and corrosion control, and previous ADNOC project exposure.
