I'm currently working with a well established multidisciplinary design consultancy in Dubai that is looking to appoint a Director of Interior Design to help lead and grow their interiors team across the region.
This is a senior leadership position within a business that is delivering large scale mixed use, hospitality, commercial and high end residential projects, both within the UAE and internationally.
They are looking for somebody with a strong design background who still enjoys being heavily involved in the creative process, rather than sitting purely in a management role.
You will be responsible for leading and mentoring teams, overseeing project direction, maintaining design quality across the studio and working closely with clients and senior leadership on project strategy and delivery.
The role would suit somebody currently operating at Associate Director, Design Director or Interior Design Director level within an international or highly regarded regional design consultancy.
Requirements:
- Strong portfolio spanning hospitality, mixed use, commercial and residential projects
- Experience leading and mentoring interior design teams
- Strong client facing and presentation skills
- Ability to oversee projects from concept through to delivery
- Experience working within recognised international or regional design consultancies
- Strong design and space planning ability with a good understanding of technical delivery
- Previous Middle East experience preferred
