Responsibilities
Our newest opportunity is for a talented Assistant Resident Engineer - Electrical (Dry Utilities) to join our team based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
The candidate will be working with the Resident Engineer/Project Manager in overseeing the execution and quality control of electrical works related to dry utilities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, local regulations, and international standards.
We envisage success in this role to include:
- Assist the Resident Engineer in supervising and inspecting all electrical works related to dry utilities.
- Monitor the contractor's work progress and ensure compliance with contract specifications, design drawings, and Abu Dhabi authority standards (e.g., ADM, ADDC, ADSSC, etc.).
- Review method statements, shop drawings, material submittals, and as-built drawings submitted by the contractor.
- Coordinate with other discipline engineers (civil, mechanical, structural) and ensure interface issues are resolved efficiently.
- Conduct site inspections, issue non-conformance reports (NCRs), and ensure corrective actions are taken.
- Participate in regular site meetings with the contractor, client, and internal teams to monitor progress and address technical issues.
- Ensure that health and safety protocols are strictly adhered to on-site.
- Prepare and submit regular site reports, progress updates, and technical documentation.
- Support the Resident Engineer in managing contractual and technical aspects of the mechanical scope.
- Liaise with relevant government authorities for inspections and approvals.
Qualifications
To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envisage that your career journey to date will include 10 years work experience partnered with a Bachelor degree in Engineering or related discipline.
