Procurement Manager

Job description / Role

• Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company's objectives and budget requirements.
• Identify and select reliable suppliers, negotiate contracts, and maintain strong relationships to ensure competitive pricing and quality products.
• Monitor and analyse market trends and pricing to identify cost-saving opportunities and optimise the procurement process.
• Collaborate with project managers and other departments to determine material needs and specifications for each project.
• Manage the procurement budget and provide regular reports on expenditure and cost savings.
• Ensure timely delivery of materials and services to support project timelines.
• Oversee the entire procurement process, from sourcing to delivery, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Develop and maintain a database of suppliers, products, and prices to facilitate efficient decision-making.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations of suppliers and take corrective actions when necessary.
• Stay updated on industry trends and new products to improve the procurement process continually.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in procurement in the construction industry.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and procurement software.
• Strong understanding of procurement processes, contract management, and supply chain management.
• Knowledge of UAE laws and regulations related to procurement.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.

Salary: AED 35,000 to 40,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
