Mechanical Design Engineer (Pressure Vessel)

Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic and energetic Design Engineer to join Sigma Engineering Works, part of Mazrui Energy Services.

Sigma Engineering Works, is an engineering service company, offering fabrication, manufacturing, service & repair, and other services to the energy industry.

Ideal candidate must have knowledge and experience in the design calculation of pressure vessels.

• Prepare technical queries and discuss with estimation team and client respectively for clarifications.
• Perform calculation for pressure vessel, piping components and provide input to designers for 3D modelling and 2D drawing drafting.
• Review the drawings prepared by designers in line with calculation, codes and project specifications and provide comments, if any.
• Prepare necessary MTO & TDC based on detail drawing generated.
• Ensure correct MTO are released on time.
• Review the client comments and prepare CRS. Ensure all client comments are addressed and get documents approved from clients.
• Ensure error free drawings are being issued to Shop on time.
• Review drawings, MTO & calculations done by other design engineers / draughtsman and ensure related check prints are maintained.
• Guide design engineers/ draftsmen & provide assistance for implementation of 3D modelling.
• Attend 3D model review meetings and provide input to 3D modelers.
• Coordinate with Third parties like BV, Lloyds, DNV for approval of design documents, as per the project requirement.
• Interact with other departments, suppliers and customers wherever necessary to achieve design objectives.
• Prepare the datasheet for different types of valves e.g ball valve, gate valve, check valve, ESD etc.
• Should review the sub-supplier documents, ensure project requirements are being met and approve the documents.
• Supporting the Estimation and Proposal Team during Bidding stage by providing design inputs for estimation, as and when required.
• Interact with other departments, suppliers and customers wherever necessary.
• Supporting the Estimation and Proposal Team during Bidding stage
• Maintain drawings and documents as per Company procedure and ASME manual.
• Complying and committed in meeting the requirement towards HSEQ policy of the organization.

• Education - Bachelor&aposs degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 10-12 Years experience in Fabrications industry.
