Job Description
The job holder is part of the senior management team responsible for providing insightful Finance support to the all the business segments and verticals in key tactical and strategic decision making. The job holder will lead a team of senior business analysts in ensuring that financial policies and control framework are consistently applied across all the business units and support functions/ITO.
- Work closely with key stakeholders within all the business segments and functions (segment heads, product heads and channel heads) to ensure that management information produced remains relevant and aids decision making.
- Develop, roll out and govern the customer/RM / Product / sub segment / desk wise performance.
- Work closely with the CFO, WBM and CWM business heads in developing a robust and ambitious medium term strategy covering all key opportunities and risks.
- Establish a planning framework which links to the medium term strategy and enables modeling of key drivers of revenues and costs thereby facilitating accurate multi-
- year rolling forecasts.
- Keep the financial controls and reconciliation in place.
- Ensure accounting plans for all products are prepared and maintained into an update fashion in system.
- Continuously review and plug income and balance sheet leakages.
- Pro-actively engage with various
- stakeholders to identify and close potential control gaps
- Establish and maintain a robust challenge process for business cases submitted by business units while at the same time ensuring efficient response times.
- Establish and maintain a robust post
- implementation review process for all material investments spends.
- Establish a framework for providing a clear and transparent analysis of costs across various levels.
- Establish a process for business unit heads to fully understand and challenge costs both internally and externally.
- A qualified accountant or an MBA with specialization in Finance Essential
- Between 10-15 years of post-qualification experience in the Finance function with exposure to finance associated matters.
- Exposure to banking industry and preferable a large or an Islamic bank.
- A thorough understanding of finance concepts, business performance management and planning. Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to interact at senior management levels. Leadership skills to lead a team of senior analysts Essential
- Ability to work independently under pressure within minimal supervision.
- Self starter with ability to motivate the team and influence decisions at senior levels.
