Trading as Noatum Ports, the Ports International Operating Company, PIOC, is a strategic entity responsible for the development, construction and standardisation of operations across AD Ports Group international ports and terminals.
About the Role
The role of the VP - International Ports Development is to support the CEO of International Ports (Asia & Africa), play a vital role in providing strategic advice and operational support to optimize the performance of terminal and port operations.
Core Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the CEO to develop and implement strategies for enhancing operational efficiency and effectiveness during and post transition, and drive alignment with overall strategic goals and plans within international ports and terminals.
- Appraise the CEO and PIOC senior management on investment priorities, project expenses and critical operational matters to support the achievement of the company's vision and goals.
- Supporting CEO International Ports Asia & Africa Liaise with other Group Units and Clusters in all matters related to operations, budgeting, forecasting, and projects delivery aiming to achieve favorable financial results.
- Advise on the development, implementation and rollout plans for new products, operational processes, infrastructure.
- Advise the CEO on the implementation of all required tools, technology solutions, customer services facilities for the successful delivery of digital and non-digital services.
- Assist in stakeholder engagement and communication to foster collaborative relationships and drive operational alignment across the organization.
- Support other departments in relationship to establishing the required SLAs, internal and external services performance targets.
- Support the CEO in the PIOC expansion activities such as investments, acquisitions, corporate alliances etc.
- Support the CEO in identifying opportunities for operational growth, cost savings, and revenue generation.
- Ensure effective communication and coordination among team members, as well as with other departments and external partners.
- highly skilled and strategic professional who can effectively support the region CEO International Ports Asia & Africa in enhancing the performance and competitiveness of international ports and terminals through operational advisory and expertise.
- Advise the CEO in the development, update and implementation of the PIOC operational strategies, roadmaps, plans and procedures ensuring adequate operational control.
- Support the PIOC strategies into actionable goals for the growth, performance, and profitability for the area of Services Operations.
- Drive formal quantitative and qualitative analytical decision support for ensuring the right value for deals and targets.
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business Administration, Ports Management, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus
- A minimum of 20 years of experience in a similar role
- Prior experience as an adviser to senior management or prior experience in a senior technical role.
- Record of building capabilities within large organizations.
- Experience in agile development, with specific Product Owner (or similar) experience preferred.
- Strong communication skills with ability to communicate complex messages and trade-offs and tell a compelling story.
