About the Job:

An opportunity has arisen for a Chef De Partie to join Pastry in Jumeirah Al Naseem. The main duties and responsibilities of this role:

  • Prepare and cook high-quality food according to menu guidelines and recipes, ensuring correct portioning, garnishing, and presentation.
  • Ensure mise-en-place is freshly prepared and on time; assist in daily preparation and service to maintain high standards.
  • Manage the allocated kitchen section, delegating tasks to junior staff, and maintain quality during busy periods.
  • Assist in developing new seasonal and creative menu ideas using the finest ingredients.
  • Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of the designated section, equipment, and utensils, and plan staff training with the Sous Chef.
  • Adhere to food handling practices, manage kitchen records and stock rotation, and optimize restaurant resources like food, energy, and labor.

About You:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

  • 3 years of experience in a progressively more complex and responsible role, ideally within the luxury hospitality industry.
  • College Degree in Culinary Arts or similar from an accredited Culinary School.
  • Fluent in English and an additional international language is a plus.
  • Expert in food quality and presentation skills.
