Job Purpose

To coordinate technical design activities and lead major projects by ensuring accurate preparation, review, and management of technical drawings, shop drawings, and project documentation. The role is responsible for overseeing technical operations, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring timely project delivery in accordance with company standards and project requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Assigning jobs to the team after checking with India and Philippines office.
  • Studying the scope based on BOQ and the tender/construction drawing and preparing the drawing register to follow the project program and monitoring the project till finish.
  • Accountable for gathering, translating and checking all info, preparing drawing register and finalizing the schedule with the assigned team to facilitate proper shop drawings.
  • Take site survey along with the project team and monitoring the assigned technical staff in the preparation of as built drawing for the project as per site condition. Accountable for checking the drawings against the info taken from site.
  • Discussing the project details with TM/AM/Sr. TA/Sr. TDD and updating the project leader with the project details and changes required. Also highlighting the project leaders with RFI to be raised to clear the project details.
  • Preparation of ID drawings based on the BOQ and clearing the design with the necessary sections and spot detail in coordination with the other team members.
  • Accountable for the preparation of assigned drawings as per agreed schedule in coordination with the project leaders for major projects as well as leading the minor projects assuming as project leader. Attending the meeting along with the Technical Manager/project lead or as instructed by the Technical Manager accountable for noting down the points related to the drawing preparation and coordinating for the correct implementation of the same.
  • Following the department standards on the preparation of drawings. Accountable for following CAD standard in drawings (drafting in CAD with the proper CAD standards, preparing the schedules in Excel). Preparation of details for all the different trades like Civil, Joinery, Steel, Glass, Solid Surface and others. Also checking the assigned junior staff drawings comprising of all trades.
  • Leading the assigned project drawings by coordinating with the other department people.
  • Accountable for the project delivery based on the project program or approved drawing register.
  • Updating the drawing with comments and informing the TM & PM regarding the possible variations. Accountable for recording possible variations due to design change /detail change/ site condition to TM. Updating drawing register to record all submissions, comments and production release as well as for monitoring the drawing progress.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Architecture.
Experience
  • 7–10 years of experience in technical coordination, architectural detailing, interior fit-out industry, in similar capacity would be preferred. Leading and managing a team is mandatory.
