As the manager of project management for our JVs, you will lead the strategic coordination and delivery of shared services across our Joint Ventures (JVs). This role will act as a bridge between Chalhoub Group's central functions and JV leadership, ensuring alignment of operational activities with the Group's long-term strategy.

You will be responsible for driving cross-functional project execution, managing a small team or matrixed contributors, across several departments with internal and external parties, and supporting executive decision-making through strategic insights, measurable impact analysis, and service excellence.

This role goes beyond coordination to provide strategic leadership, operational oversight, and continuous improvement, ensuring that shared service delivery meets JV objectives and contributes to the Group's broader transformation roadmap.

What you'll be doing:

Strategic leadership & impact
  • Drive the strategic alignment of shared services with JV business goals and the Group's transformation priorities.
  • Translate Group strategy into operational action plans across JV entities.
  • Provide measurable business impact analysis and decision support to senior leadership, including cost-benefit evaluations, ROI metrics, and service-level KPIs.
  • Represent the JV management function in strategic planning and governance forums.
People management & team leadership
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team (including direct and matrixed reports) supporting shared services initiatives across JVs.
  • Allocate resources effectively and ensure clear accountability for project and service delivery outcomes.
  • Foster a culture of ownership, continuous learning, and collaboration within the team.
Operational excellence & service delivery
  • Oversee end-to-end coordination of key shared service functions (e.g., Technology, Operations, Legal, Omnichannel, etc.) within the JV ecosystem.
  • Resolve complex operational escalations and serve as the senior point of contact for cross-functional issue resolution.
  • Institutionalize best practices and frameworks to enhance process efficiency, standardization, and service quality.
Project portfolio management
  • Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of strategic projects impacting JV operations, including ERP implementations, e-commerce rollouts, and digital and operations transformation initiatives.
  • Define success criteria, monitor milestones, manage interdependencies, and report progress to senior stakeholders (from region and HQ).
  • Ensure governance, risk mitigation, and change management practices are effectively applied.
Financial accountability & performance tracking
  • Own the budgeting, tracking, and financial reporting of shared services activities related to JVs.
  • Conduct financial modeling, scenario planning, and cost optimization in coordination with Finance teams.
  • Prepare and present business cases to secure investment or resources for JV-related initiatives.
What you'll need to succeed
  • 7-10+ years of progressive experience in operations, shared services, or consulting, with at least 2 years in a managerial or strategic leadership role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience driving transformation or change management across multiple business units.
  • Knowledge of enterprise systems (e.g., SAP, Salesforce) and digital tools (e.g., project management, reporting dashboards).
  • Strong analytical and financial skills, with a track record of delivering measurable outcomes.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • English required; French or Italian is a plus.
