Internal Audit Manager

Job Description

GAL is currently seeking to hire a Manager – Internal Audit to join our HQ team in Abu Dhabi.

The selected candidate will be responsible for leading and managing risk-based internal audit activities across the organization to strengthen governance, internal controls, compliance, and operational effectiveness in line with international audit standards and organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise internal audit engagements across business functions
• Develop and execute risk-based audit plans and audit initiatives
• Assess adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls and risk mitigation measures
• Review audit documentation and ensure compliance with audit methodology and quality standards
• Conduct investigations, advisory assignments, and special audits
• Support management in identifying and mitigating financial and operational risks
• Engage with key stakeholders across the organization and provide value-added recommendations
• Contribute to strengthening the overall control and governance environment
• Develop dashboards and reporting mechanisms for audit monitoring and reporting purposes
• Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent
• Professional qualification such as CA, ACCA, or CPA is mandatory
• CIA and/or CFE certifications are highly preferred
• Minimum 10 years of experience within Internal Audit in large organizations
• Minimum 3 years of managerial-level experience
• Experience auditing treasury, investment, and insurance products is highly desirable
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and project management skills
