Opportunity
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Analyst to support a major transformation project within the Loan Portfolio Management (LPM) department of a leading Middle East-based investment bank. The role involves a blend of credit analysis, data management, system testing, and process implementation to enhance the LPM system.
Programme Overview
Our client is rolling out a comprehensive technology platform for Loan Portfolio Management to streamline facility tracking, covenant monitoring, and portfolio-level insights. As part of the transformation team, you will assist with requirement gathering, data migration, testing, and credit process alignment to ensure the system meets operational needs.
Role Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting various technical and analytical tasks, including:
- Assisting in requirement gathering and documentation for the LPM system development.
- Supporting data cleansing activities to ensure clean facility data is loaded into the system.
- Conducting functional testing and quality assurance of the LPM modules to validate reliability and accuracy.
- Playing a key maker role in testing Covenant Trackers and ensuring terms and conditions are captured accurately.
- Reviewing facility documents (e.g., LMA format) and interpreting facility terms for IB clients (Corporates, GREs, SWFs, FIs).
- Reviewing waivers/amendments received from Agents or Coverage Teams.
- Identifying early warning signals from financials, covenant compliance certificates, and news sources.
- Assisting with annual facility reviews and information collection.
- Periodically reviewing document deficiencies, including security/collateral documentation.
- 35 years of experience in credit risk, corporate finance, or banking operations - required
- Exposure to syndicated lending, credit documentation, and covenant tracking - required
- Experience working with technology or process improvement projects is highly desirable.
- Sound understanding of credit analysis fundamentals - required
- Comfortable working with legal/credit documents and extracting key terms required
- Proficiency in Excel and Power BI is required
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Fluent in English with excellent communication abilities.
- Ability to work under tight timelines and across cross-functional teams.
