We are currently hiring a General Accountant on behalf of a prestigious client, based in their Dubai office.
Job Purpose:
Support accounts payable team in Data Entry, maintaining financial records, processing invoices, and performing accurate data entry tasks. Skilled in accounting software, Microsoft Excel, and record management with strong attention to accuracy, confidentiality, and deadline management.Capable of supporting daily accounting operations and ensuring efficient financial documentation and reporting.
Job Description:
- Manage day-to-day accounting entries, invoices, and payment records accurately.
- Maintain financial data and updated accounting software with high attention to detail.
- Prepare bank reconciliations, petty cash statements, and expense reports.
- Process vendor payments efficiently.
- Assist in monthly closing activities and preparation of financial reports.
- Enter large volumes of data with accuracy while meeting deadlines.
- Verify and corrected accounting discrepancies and data inconsistencies.
- Maintain organized digital filing systems for financial documents.
- Generate reports using Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and VLOOKUP.
- Coordinate with suppliers regarding billing and payment matters.
- Ensure confidentiality and security of financial and company records.
- Support auditors by providing required financial documents and records.
- Improved data accuracy by regularly reviewing and validating entries.
- Prepare general ledger journal entries and reconciliations while managing accounting transactions and maintaining ledger accuracy.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with finance teams, internal stakeholders, suppliers, and auditors.
