About the role:

We are seeking a highly capable Senior Infrastructure & Security Engineer to join our growing technology team.

This role is ideal for a hands-on infrastructure and security professional with strong experience across enterprise networking, Microsoft cloud security, security operations, and incident response.

You will play a key role in securing and supporting the organisation's infrastructure across on-premise and cloud environments, ensuring high availability, resilience, and strong cybersecurity controls across critical business systems.

• Design, implement and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure, routing, switching, VPN, and network connectivity
• Administer and optimise enterprise firewalls, network security controls, and secure remote access solutions
• Manage and secure Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environments
• Administer Microsoft Entra ID, including Conditional Access, MFA, Privileged Identity Management (PIM), and Identity Governance
• Manage and optimise Microsoft Defender XDR, including Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Office 365, Defender for Identity, and Defender for Cloud
• Configure and maintain security monitoring and threat detection capabilities using Microsoft Sentinel
• Conduct proactive threat hunting, vulnerability assessments, and remediation tracking
• Lead security incident investigation, containment, remediation, and root cause analysis
• Monitor infrastructure and network performance and implement optimisation initiatives to improve uptime and resilience
• Provide Tier 2 / Tier 3 support for complex infrastructure, network, and security-related incidents
• Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and business teams to improve overall security posture

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Minimum 8 years of experience across infrastructure, network engineering, and cybersecurity
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 security
• Strong hands-on experience in:
• LAN / WAN / Routing / Switching
• Firewalls (Fortinet / Cisco / Palo Alto preferred)
• Microsoft Azure Security
• Microsoft Entra ID
• Microsoft Defender XDR
• Microsoft Sentinel
• Threat Detection & Incident Response
• Vulnerability Management
• Strong understanding of Zero Trust architecture, cloud security, identity management, and security operations
• Experience with infrastructure monitoring, security audits, and compliance initiatives
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Strong PowerShell scripting / automation skills preferred

• AZ-500
• CISSP / CISM / CCSP
• CCNP Security / Fortinet certifications (advantage)
