Jr Procurement Engineer - Abu Dhabi
Job description / Role
Employment: Full Time
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Procurement Engineer to support our procurement department in sourcing and purchasing materials, equipment, and services essential for our construction projects. The ideal candidate will collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely procurement, cost efficiency, and quality compliance, contributing to the successful delivery of projects.
- Prepare packages (BOQ, Scope of Works, Specification, Drawings, etc.)
- Float inquiry, follow-up & collect quotations to all approved supplier and subcontractors
- Attend to all Technical clarifications raised by interested Bidders & Raised RFI to Consultant thru Site Team if there is discrepancies in the documents
- Review Technically & Commercially all the quotations / proposal of Bidders and prepare comparison table.
- Ensure that offers are Technically & Commercially compliant
- Interviews supplier representatives regarding specifications, costs, inspection, and similar problems relating to their quotation as and when needed.
- Shortlist Subcontractors for each item based on their Quoted price, specification, samples, Prequalification document, quality of work, payment condition, delivery and availability of materials for Consultant/Client approval
- Finalized the Comparison Sheet for Management signature and forward the same to Contract Department thereafter.
- Negotiate prices as and when requested.
- Prepare Contract, Work Order, Letter of Intent, Amendments to all Supplier and Subcontractors
- Prepare weekly procurement Reporting
- With knowledge in using ERP system
Requirements:
- BSc in Civil Engineering
- Preferred Female Filipino Nationality
- With 1-3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management within the construction or engineering industry.
- Familiarity with procurement procedures, contract management, and supply chain processes.
- Knowledge of UAE market suppliers, vendors, and import/export regulations.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite; experience with ERP or procurement software is advantageous.
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of construction materials, equipment, and technical specifications.
- Knowledge of local laws, customs, and import procedures in the UAE.
