Responsibilities

Our newest opportunity is for a talented Senior Project Manager to join our team based in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

We envisage success in this role to include:

  • Represent the firm in communications with the client, sub-contractors, and JV partners, as delegated by the Project Director/Director.
  • Prepare, plan, and control financial budgets and team resources in order to deliver required commercial outcomes.
  • Prepare and manage complex project programs and project contracts.
  • Ensure project standards and QMS procedures are implemented across each of the technical areas involved in the project, including project administration.
  • Ensure terms of the contract are followed and manage scope changes and their effect on delivery of project objectives.
  • Prepare monthly project reports and input to consolidated division report.
  • Lead a team of professional employees, driving increased organizational performance and achievement of team goals.
  • Analyse existing work processes, procedures, and systems, identifying opportunities for increased efficiencies, cost-effectiveness, and service improvements.
  • Participate in business development activities, including tender/proposal preparation and presentations.
  • Anticipate and objectively and systematically analyse and resolve complex problems.
  • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks.
  • Lead and develop strong communication and working relationships with staff, management, subcontractors, and clients which support collaborative work practices.
  • Ensure the effective functioning of diverse project teams by using appropriate interpersonal styles to promote team cohesion and collaboration.
  • Manage own continuous development and facilitate the development of team members through monitoring of staff performance, and day-to-day coaching and feedback.
  • Build upon project management capability of others and actively transfer technical expertise within the team.
  • Ensure integration of health, safety, and sustainability principles in all inputs and outputs of the team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envisage that you will have 20 years of relevant project management experience partnered with a bachelor degree in civil engineering.
