Job Description
We are looking to hire a PMO Manager Finance who will be responsible for overseeing finance-related projects and strategic initiatives for our client based in Dubai, UAE which is one of the largest companies in the region.
This position is a contract role with an initial duration of 6 months and is renewable.
The role sits within the Finance Department and reports directly to the Director- Finance Excellence.
We are looking for a passionate PMO Manager Finance who can drive the successful delivery of financial projects and programs while ensuring alignment with the companys strategic goals. You should also have experience in financial planning, project governance, and cross-functional stakeholder management.
Key Responsibilities:
PMO Leadership:
- Lead and manage the financial PMO function, including governance, frameworks, methodologies, tools, and reporting standards.
- Develop and implement best practices for project management within finance and across the organization.
Project Portfolio Management:
- Oversee the finance project portfolio to ensure alignment with business objectives and ROI expectations.
- Prioritize, plan, and manage multiple financial projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and within budget.
Financial Planning & Analysis Support:
- Work closely with FP&A and finance teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning initiatives.
- Track and analyze project costs, benefits, and financial performance against targets.
Governance and Compliance:
- Ensure all financial projects comply with internal policies, risk management standards, and external regulatory requirements.
- Establish audit trails and documentation for project decisions and financial implications.
Stakeholder Management:
- Serve as the main point of contact between finance, IT, operations, and executive leadership regarding financial projects.
- Communicate project updates, risks, and financial impacts to senior management.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Mentor and develop a team of project managers and analysts within the finance PMO.
- Drive a culture of accountability, excellence, and continuous improvement.
Knowledge, skills & experience:
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business (MBA preferred).
- PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification.
- 7+ years of project management experience, with at least 4 years in a PMO leadership role.
- Strong financial background with experience in budgeting, reporting, and performance metrics.
- Familiarity with financial systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Availability:
- Preference will be given to candidates available immediately or a maximum of 30 days after accepting the offer.
