What You Will Do
In this role, you will:
- Oversee, co-ordinate and optimize all onboard technical systemsmechanical, electrical, instrumentation, utilities, hull, and structure systems in compliance with industry standards, company procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Lead maintenance planning and execution: preventive, corrective, predictiveto maximize uptime and equipment reliability.
- Manage bunkering, housekeeping, CMMS records, stock control, and hazardous substances.
- Ensure regulatory compliance, PermittoWork integrity, and class approvals.
- Drive incident investigations, rootcause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions.
- Coordinate closely with OIM, department heads, contractors, onshore support, HSSEQ, and TMS.
- Mentor and assess team performancesupport crew development, training, and succession.
- Contribute to budget planning, monitor expenditure, and deliver clear technical reports.
- Serve as an active Emergency Response Team memberprepared, vigilant, accountable.
- Mentor and coach local staff in daily FPSO/FPU maintenance tasks, ensuring safety and efficiency.
- Delegate responsibilities to nationals as they demonstrate competency in machinery operation, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Lead structured training and on-the-job mentoring for maintenance, mechanical, and E&I personnel, with regular performance reviews.
- Provide cross-departmental exposure to broaden understanding of offshore operations.
- Foster teamwork, inclusion, and offshore culture to support national staff integration and long-term continuity.
- Degree in Engineering and/or Chief Engineers Certificate of Competency/Superintendent certification.
- 15 years of overall experience, including a minimum of 5 years offshore and at least 2 years in FPSO/FPU maintenance.
- Strong FPSO/FPU maintenance background (ER machinery, marine, utilities, topside equipment).
- Proven offshore leadershipcapable in risk assessment, MOC, and emergency readiness.
- Skilled in CMMS, troubleshooting, condition monitoring, and contractor oversight.
- Solid regulatory knowledge (IMO, SOLAS, ISM, MARPOL), class rules and compliance.
- Fluent in English (other languages such as Portuguese, French, or Italian are a plus).
