In this role, youll be a key player in ensuring the seamless flow of funds across international and domestic rails. Your deep knowledge of SWIFT messaging standards (including MT, ISO 20022, pacs, and camt) and end-to-end bank payment operations will help drive robust processes, reduce friction, and elevate customer experiences.
Youll work closely with cross-functional teams and external partners to troubleshoot, investigate, and resolve complex payment issueswhile also identifying opportunities to streamline operations and implement scalable, tech-forward solutions.This is a hands-on role with strategic impact, perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, forward-thinking environment.
Key Responsibilities- Process and authorize foreign currency transactions with accuracy and efficiency, ensuring timely execution.
- Lead investigations into payment discrepancies, delays, and rejections, working closely with correspondent banks, partner institutions, and internal teams to resolve issues swiftly.
- Initiate and manage Requests for Information (RFIs) with customers and third parties to clarify or resolve payment-related concerns and ensure smooth transaction flows.
- Deliver exceptional customer support, handling complex payment cases with a customer-first mindset and ensuring issues are resolved professionally and within expected timelines.
- Partner with Product and Technology teams to identify pain points and contribute to the design and rollout of enhanced payment workflows, automation, and system features.
- Support internal teams in resolving customer issues related to international or domestic transactions.
- Participate and perform in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new products and system enhancements, validating functionality and identifying operational impacts or opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure end-to-end compliance with applicable regulatory standards, internal risk controls, and audit requirements across all payment operations activities.
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in payment operations, with a strong focus on international transaction processing, investigations, and dispute resolution.
- Deep expertise in SWIFT messaging standards, including MT and ISO 20022 formats (pacs, camt), with a solid grasp of cross-border payment flows and settlement processes.
- Proven track record in performing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and supporting system implementation initiatives
- Analytical and solutions-driven mindset, with the ability to break down complex issues and navigate ambiguity with confidence and clarity.
- Strong communication skillsboth written and verbalwith the ability to translate technical payment details into clear, accessible language for various stakeholders.
