Job Purpose
The Junior Accountant plays a key supporting role within the finance team by assisting in data entry, reconciliation, basic reporting, and document management. This entry-level role helps ensure timely and accurate financial processes while building a strong foundation in accounting systems and practices.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting Operations- Record routine journal entries and update the accounting system with supporting documents.
- Assist with invoice processing, petty cash, and employee reimbursements.
- Support in the reconciliation of bank and vendor accounts.
- Prepare draft financial summaries for review by senior accountants.
- Organize and maintain proper filing of vouchers, receipts, and journal entries.
- Help prepare documents for internal or external audits.
- Assist in preparing and verifying petty cash reports.
- Participate in inventory and cash checks as needed.
- Enter accurate data into MS Dynamics or other finance tools.
- Ensure entries comply with internal finance policies.
