Overview:
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for supervising and coordinating all maintenance activities to ensure the effective operation and longevity of company assets, including machinery, equipment, and facilities. The role involves planning, scheduling, and overseeing preventive and corrective maintenance tasks, managing a team of maintenance personnel, and ensuring safety standards and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Management:
Supervise and lead a team of maintenance technicians and staff.
Ensure team adherence to safety protocols and best practices.
Preventive Maintenance:
Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime.
Schedule regular maintenance tasks and inspections to ensure equipment reliability.
Troubleshooting and Repairs:
Lead troubleshooting efforts and repairs for malfunctioning equipment and systems.
Diagnose issues, determine causes, and recommend solutions.
Coordinate emergency repairs and minimize production disruptions.
Budget and Inventory Management:
Manage maintenance budgets, ensuring cost efficiency and adherence to financial guidelines.
Oversee the inventory of spare parts and tools, ensuring availability when needed.
Safety and Compliance:
Ensure that all maintenance activities comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
Implement and enforce safety protocols and risk assessments for all maintenance activities.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including schedules, repairs, and equipment status.
Prepare reports on equipment performance, maintenance costs, and any issues or risks.
Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities for improving maintenance processes, efficiency, and productivity.
Collaborate with other departments to optimize equipment utilization and performance.
Vendor Management:
Manage relationships with external service providers and contractors.
Oversee third-party maintenance and repair services when necessary.
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Facility Management or a related field.
Proven experience in a maintenance management or supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of machinery, equipment, and building systems.
Proficiency with maintenance management software and MS Office Suite.
Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
Strong understanding of safety regulations and practices.
