Nursery Manager

Job Description

Reporting to: Owner / Management

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Nursery Manager to lead and oversee the overall operations of the nursery. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring high standards of childcare and education (including Montessori/Early Years approaches), maintaining regulatory compliance, and creating a safe and structured environment for children.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, manage, and supervise nursery staff, including teachers and assistants
• Recruit, train, and onboard qualified nursery staff in line with UAE regulations
• Conduct regular team meetings, performance evaluations, and development plans
• Maintain a professional and collaborative working environment

• Ensure delivery of high-quality early childhood education (Montessori / EYFS or similar)
• Create a safe and developmentally appropriate learning environment
• Monitor children's progress and ensure proper documentation and reporting
• Support children with different learning needs and ensure inclusive practices

• Ensure compliance with UAE laws and regulations related to nurseries
• Maintain all required licenses, documentation, and inspection readiness
• Implement and monitor nursery policies and procedures (health, safety, safeguarding)
• Ensure staff are trained in childcare best practices and First Aid & CPR

• Maintain professional communication with parents and guardians
• Provide regular updates on children's progress and well-being
• Handle inquiries and concerns in a professional manner

• Develop and implement nursery policies and procedures
• Monitor quality standards and support continuous improvement
• Support curriculum development and learning approaches
• Manage resources and operational planning as required

Requirements & Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, Child Development, Psychology, or a related field
• A Business Administration degree may be considered with relevant nursery experience

Certifications:

• Montessori or Early Years qualification is preferred
• First Aid & CPR certification is required
• Child safeguarding training is preferred

Experience:

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in nurseries or early childhood education
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience
• Experience within the UAE is preferred
• Experience in team management and regulatory compliance

• Good communication skills in English
• Ability to manage operations and solve problems
