Job description
As the successful candidate you will be required to perform the following as a minimum:
- Provide professional support to ensure that all activities carried out on board are in strict compliance with Saudi Aramco HSE standards
- Provide expertise on all HSE related matters on vessel in line with maritime international and company standards
- Ensure effective implementation of life saving rules
- Liaise with all stakeholders on board for HSE matters
- Support vessel management team and the workforce in the HSE risk assessment and job safety analysis
- Deliver HSE training
- Take part in accident/incident investigation
- Coordinate the activities of the HSE officers
- Perform job site safety compliance inspections, including hazard analyses and safe work procedures, and prepare written reports and recommendations
- Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of the hazard control system, policies, and procedures, and recommend changes that reflect improved opportunities to eliminate workplace incidents and injuries
- Review and analyze injury, property damage, and statistical loss data whilst working alongside management to prepare comprehensive recommendations for corrective action to eliminate or minimize potential hazards
- Maintain and evaluate the continuous implementation and compliance of our Safety Management System (SMS) in line with corporate SMS
Academic education
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Occupational Safety, or Process Safety.
Professional education- NEBOSH International General Certificate (Level 3)
- IOSH (Managing Safely)
- ISO 45001:2019 (Lead Auditor)
- OHS Level 6 qualification such as NVQ, OTHAM, IDSE, QUALIFI, ProQual or equivalent
- NEBOSH Process Safety Management
Professional membership
Should be a member (any level) of any one of the following:
- IIRSM (International Institute of Risk and Safety Management)
- IOSH (Institute of Occupational Safety & Health)
- CSP (Certified Safety Professional)
- BRSP (Board of Registered Safety Professionals)
- Chartered member of IOSH (CM-IOSH)
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
Experience
Should have 10 years of experience out of which 5 years in a managerial position.
Experience in oil & gas (offshore/onshore) and marine will be preferred.
