Role Description The Tendering Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Abu Dhabi, responsible for managing the technical and commercial aspects of tenders for public infrastructure and related projects. On a day-to-day basis, this role includes reviewing project specifications and drawings, preparing detailed quotations and bid proposals, and coordinating with internal engineering and procurement teams to gather accurate cost and material information.The Tendering Engineer will analyze client requirements, develop competitive tender strategies, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines. The role also involves liaising with clients, consultants, and government representatives to clarify tender queries, supporting negotiations, and preparing documentation for contracts and approvals.
In addition, the Tendering Engineer supports project handover to execution teams, providing technical and commercial insights to help ensure successful delivery.
Qualifications- Candidates should possess strong commercial and tendering skills, including experience preparing quotations, cost estimates, and bid documentation.
- Candidates should demonstrate robust analytical skills, with the ability to interpret technical specifications, evaluate risks, and develop competitive tender strategies.
- Candidates should have effective communication skills to coordinate with clients, consultants, government bodies, and internal teams.
- Candidates should have procurement-related skills, including coordinating with suppliers, evaluating offers, and aligning material and service costs with tender requirements.
- Candidates should have a background in Civil Engineering with knowledge of infrastructure and construction projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Experience in tendering or estimation within construction, infrastructure, or engineering industries, in the UAE.
- Familiarity with local regulations, standards, and tendering processes for public infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in relevant software tools (e.g., Autocad, Plan Swift, MS Office, Excel, and basic estimation or ERP systems).
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
