Job Description
Role Summary:
The job holder will be responsible for managing and assisting the Finance Manager in preparation of the MIS, Financial Planning & Analysis, Budgeting, Periodic MIS reporting. The job holder will be expected to utilize and manage financial resources and systems necessary to deliver Concept operational objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Budgeting, Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Support in preparation for the annual budget
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS/local GAAP.
- Analyze variances, prepare management reports, and assist in budgeting and forecasting.
- Monitor KPIs and performance metrics relevant to the entertainment sector (e.g., ticket revenue, F&B, merchandise sales).
- Analyse budgets of the Concept and Territory operations monthly, discuss and revise allocations if necessary
- Revenue & Cost Management
- Oversee daily revenue reconciliations from multiple revenue streams.
- Track direct and indirect costs, identifying opportunities for cost control and efficiency.
- Exercise necessary budgetary controls on all costs incurred by the Territories, ensuring that they comply with the drawn budgets
- Internal Controls & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to internal financial controls and company policies.
- Support in statutory audits, internal audits, and compliance with tax regulations (VAT, corporate tax, etc.).
- Cash Flow
- Preparation of Cash flow statement and monthly dashboards
- Monitor Capital Expenditure plans for various territories
- Business Support
- Engage with cross functional teams for collating the information and explanations to support the business analysis.
- Provide financial insights to support business decisions and investment appraisals.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience required for the role
CA / CPA / CIMA / ACA / ACS / ACWA / MBA
5 8 years of experience
Finance and Operations preferably in a Retail environment with specific exposure to operational financial planning and budget control
Accounting Concepts (e.g., internal controls, financial statement preparation, accrual accounting)
Basic Accounting Tools or Financial tools (e.g. CAPEX)
Knowledge of ERP based Accounting Systems
Knowledge of International Financial Reporting (IFRS Standards)
Financial Budgeting and Forecasting techniques
VAT and Corporate Tax Laws
