WSP Middle East is seeking an experienced AI Business Partner to work in direct partnership with the Property & Buildings (P&B) Business Unit leadership. This senior role sits at the intersection of design, engineering, and applied intelligence, driving the integration of emerging technologies into core business and project delivery processes.
The successful candidate will combine deep architectural or engineering expertise with the ability to apply AI, computational design, and digital tools to deliver measurable performance improvements across major programmes.
As the single point of accountability for the P&B AI agenda, you will define priorities, lead delivery, and embed scalable solutions that enhance design quality, operational efficiency, and client outcomes.
Responsibilities
Strategic Partnership & Leadership- Act as the dedicated AI Business Partner to P&B leadership across the Middle East.
- Develop and maintain a clear AI and digital roadmap aligned to business priorities and project demands.
- Provide informed, experience-led advisory to senior stakeholders on opportunities, risks, and investment decisions.
- Identify and prioritise high-impact use cases across the full project lifecycle—from concept design to delivery.
- Build structured business cases with clear KPIs, ROI, and measurable outcomes.
- Maintain a transparent pipeline from opportunity identification through to scaled deployment.
- Lead the integration of AI and computational design approaches into project workflows.
- Drive AI adoption within tools including Revit, Dynamo, Rhino, Grasshopper, AutoCAD, and Power BI to support data-driven design.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within design and engineering teams.
- Oversee the end-to-end implementation of AI solutions within live project environments.
- Ensure solutions are practical, scalable, and adopted effectively by multidisciplinary teams.
- Lead change management efforts to embed new ways of working across large programmes.
- Establish and maintain governance frameworks for AI deployment within P&B.
- Ensure adherence to WSP standards relating to data security, intellectual property, and risk management.
- Support client engagement on responsible and ethical use of AI technologies.
- Track and report on performance, benefits, and adoption of AI initiatives.
- Provide clear, executive-level reporting aligned to business outcomes.
- Continuously refine strategy based on performance insights and evolving requirements.
- Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related discipline; professional accreditation (e.g. RIBA, ARB) is advantageous.
- Minimum 10 years experience within a Design Manager, Architect, or equivalent role, delivering large-scale projects.
- Strong understanding of multidisciplinary engineering principles within the built environment.
- Proven experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder programmes.
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive strategic initiatives.
- Experience delivering digital, data-driven, or AI-enabled solutions within the AEC sector.
- Strong regional experience within the Middle East market.
- Proficiency in BIM and computational design tools (Revit, Dynamo, Grasshopper, Rhino).
- Understanding of data workflows, automation, and emerging AI capabilities within design and engineering contexts.
- Exposure to Generative AI, advanced analytics, and automation platforms.
- Familiarity with project delivery systems such as P6, Aconex, ACC, and Power BI.
- Experience working within structured enterprise governance environments.
- Background in digital engineering, BIM leadership, or design technology roles.
