Job Description
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Sponsorship Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying, prospecting, and securing sponsorship opportunities across a portfolio of high-profile events - ranging from sports experiences to influential conferences.This role blends strategic sales acumen with event execution knowledge to drive revenue growth and cultivate long-term partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & revenue generation- Achieve revenue targets sponsorship sales.
- Continuously seek opportunities for upselling and cross-selling to maximize revenue.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to align promotional efforts and maximize sponsor exposure.
Sponsorship Prospecting and Sales & Partnership Development:
- Identify and engage potential sponsors and partners and who align with the event objectives.
- Develop compelling sponsorship proposals and tailored partnership packages
- Pitch sponsorship opportunities to prospective partners and decision makers through various communication channels.
- Lead contract negotiations, ensuring mutually beneficial terms for both parties.
- Manage the entire sales cycle, from lead generation to deal closure.
- Coordinate sponsor activations and ensure contractual deliverables are met.
Event Coordination and Client Servicing:
- Collaborate with the event planning and marketing teams to ensure sponsors&apos needs and expectations are met.
- Oversee sponsor activation and fulfilment, ensuring sponsor logos, banners, and promotional materials are appropriately displayed.
- Provide exceptional customer service to sponsors before, during, and after events.
Data and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of commercial agreements, payments, and deliverables.
- Track communication and progress through CRM tools and maintain detailed records of each prospect and partnership.
- Generate regular reports on sponsorship performance, revenue forecasts, and ROI for internal stakeholders.
Industry Trends and Competitive Analysis:
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and innovations in sponsorship and brand partnerships.
- Use this knowledge to adapt and enhance our sponsorship offerings.
Experience & Background:
- 35 years in sponsorship sales, partnership development, or a similar commercial role ideally within conferences, sports, or entertainment.
- A proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and building long-term client relationships.
Skills & Traits:
- Confident in pitching, presenting, and negotiating with senior stakeholders.
- Highly organized with great attention to detail.
- Comfortable in managing multiple projects and deadlines.
