Role Overview

The Travel Sales Lead will be responsible for driving the adoption of our B2B payment solution across travel agencies of all sizes, including Online Travel Agencies (OTAs) and Travel Management Companies (TMCs). This role requires a seasoned professional with deep-seated knowledge of the travel industry and an extensive network of contacts within the travel agency segment.

You will be instrumental in positioning our platform as the preferred solution for corporate payment, expense management, and optimized financial workflows for travel businesses.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy specifically targeting travel agencies of all sizes, from independent agencies to large TMCs and OTAs.
  • Leverage an existing, wide network and connections within the travel agency and travel payment ecosystem to identify, qualify, and secure new partnerships.
  • Proactively identify and engage with potential travel agency partners, delivering compelling value propositions tailored to their unique business needs, operational structures, and payment challenges.
  • Demonstrate expert-level understanding of the travel payment landscape, including existing payment methods, emerging technologies, regulatory requirements, and common pain points faced by travel agencies.
  • Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders, including decision-makers at all levels within travel agencies (e.g., owners, finance leaders, operations directors, and technology heads).
  • Drive the adoption and successful integration of our corporate card issuance and payment platform among travel agencies and their corporate clients.
  • Clearly articulate the benefits of our platform, focusing on how it integrates seamlessly with travel agency workflows, enhances client satisfaction, reduces costs, and creates new revenue opportunities through efficient payment processes.
  • Continuously monitor trends in the travel management and financial technology sectors to identify emerging opportunities, competitive threats, and market shifts.
  • Collaborate closely with product and marketing teams to refine the platform based on TMC feedback and market demands, ensuring our solution remains cutting-edge and relevant.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts, rigorously track pipeline activity, and deliver regular, insightful performance updates to leadership.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and high-profile networking events specific to the travel and payment industries to build brand awareness and generate high-quality leads.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor&aposs degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven track record of exceptional success in B2B sales, specifically within the travel payment, financial technology, or travel-related software solutions sectors.
  • Deep and existing knowledge of the travel payment industry, including ARC/BSP processes, virtual cards, corporate cards, GDS payment flows, and agency accounting systems.
  • Extensive, well-established network and existing relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within a wide range of travel agencies (OTAs, TMCs, independent agencies).
  • Proficiency with CRM and sales tools, such as Salesforce or HubSpot.
