Maintenance Engineer (Power Plant Experienced) (Emiratization Role)

Job Description

Our client is one of the leading Energy based companies and are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join their team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Key Responsibilities will Include:

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
• Conduct inspections, troubleshooting, and fault analysis of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Handle work permits and ensures all tasks comply with safety regulations and risk assessments.
• Develop and coordinate maintenance schedules in alignment with operational requirements.
• Liaise with contractors, monitor performance, and ensure timely completion of work.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, report, and raise purchase requests as needed.
• Support emergency response, continuous improvement, and carry out tasks assigned by Manager.

Who were looking for:

• Must have a bachelors degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• Must have a minimum of 4 years working experience.
• Proven experience in maintenance operations in plant environments.
• Strong understanding of safety procedures, risk assessments, and permit-to-work systems.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and coordination abilities.
• Proficiency in using maintenance tracking systems is a plus.
