Job Purpose

Responsible for developing, maintaining, and overseeing all hub's emergency response plans and crisis management procedures for Air Arabia Group. This role ensures the airline complies with regulatory requirements, is operationally prepared for emergencies, and can respond effectively to protect passengers, staff, and the company's reputation.

Oversee and facilitate the organization's interdepartmental ERP communication, regulations, policies, manuals, and documentation flow to fulfill operational requirements. Conduct and arrange for training sessions and presentations as needed, ensuring comprehensive implementation, communication, assessment, and adherence to ERP measures at all times.

Key Result Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive Group Emergency Response Plan (ERP) in alignment with ICAO, IATA, and local aviation authority regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for all aspects of ERP for the Group.
  • Develop, implement, and manage all facets of the Air Arabia Group ERP ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and company objectives.
  • Ensure to link the ERP and FAP plans of all hubs at Group level.
  • Establish, maintain, and continuously update Group ERP, FAP, manuals, training materials, and other necessary requirements.
  • Define and check establishment, maintenance, and continuous update of hubs ERP, FAP, manuals, training materials, and other necessary requirements.
  • Prepare and execute annual ERP and FAP drill/exercise plans for all hubs, ensuring timely actions for identified gaps.
  • Establish and coordinate stations' ERP and maintain up-to-date necessary information and contacts.
  • Conduct ERP training for station managers, family assistance team members, OCC staff, and other relevant personnel.
  • Design, arrange for, and deliver ERP training programs for airline staff at all levels, including executives, flight crews, airport staff, and crisis response teams, also using risk management bursary (RMB) from insurers.
  • Plan and conduct regular emergency drills and full-scale exercises (e.g., tabletop, simulation, live drills) to test ERP effectiveness and team readiness.
  • Debrief, analyze, and document lessons learned to improve plans and processes.
  • Procure necessary equipment and tools for training and emergency response, ensuring proper communication and coordination.
  • Facilitate ERP training for Crisis Management Team (CMT) members.
  • Act as liaison with external organizations such as third-party service providers and industry groups on all aspects of ERP.
  • Ensure that all necessary service providers contracts are in place and valid including but not limited to emergency response and disabled aircraft recovery.
  • Ensure all required resources are available and functional in crisis management centers.
  • Participate in airport ERP drills to assess and align emergency response preparedness.
Key Result Responsibilities - Continued
  • Ensure all ERP stakeholders and required resources are identified, selected for Group and each hub, and trained to ensure readiness.
  • Conduct routine hubs visits to evaluate ERP preparedness.
  • Coordinate and facilitate the company's emergency response in the event of accidents, natural disasters, or significant events.
  • Manage cross-departmental teams and act as a liaison between departments to ensure emergency response preparedness and compliance.
  • Manage the CMT members updated lists and FACT24 system.
  • Prepare the test/exercise plan for all hubs.
  • Establish business continuity procedures and recovery protocols in view and preparation for events of major disruptions or crises.
  • Ensure all records are maintained and backup is available.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops, reviewing publications, and establishing networks.

Ensures people management responsibilities are handled effectively in line with company procedures.

Qualifications (Academic, Training, Languages)
  • Bachelor's degree in management, aviation, or equivalent. A diploma or certificate in the related field from a recognized university or institute.
  • Knowledge of aviation regulatory frameworks (ICAO Annex 13, IATA Emergency Response Guidelines, etc.).
  • Emergency Response Program training from an accredited institution.
  • Safety Management System training.
  • Understanding of ERP and FAP regulations.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with emergency management software or crisis communication platforms.
  • Fluency in English language, excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce reports.
Work Experience
  • 7+ years of airline experience with safety and emergency response experience.
  • Capable of designing, developing, and delivering training programs and methodologies in the respective area of ERP.
