Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Commis 1 specializing in Arabic Cuisine at Kempinski Hotel & Residences Palm Jumeirah, located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The Commis 1 will assist in the preparation and presentation of dishes, ensure the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen, and adhere to all health and safety regulations.Responsibilities also include maintaining kitchen equipment, helping with inventory management, and working closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities- Proficiency in preparing and presenting Arabic cuisine
- Knowledge of kitchen safety and hygiene practices, and basic culinary techniques
- Good teamwork and communication skills
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Culinary certification or degree is a plus
- Minimum of 1 to 2 years experience in a similar position
- Preferably in an international, luxury five-star hotel
- English - excellent communication skills
