AVP - Credit Risk

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Focus on performing comprehensive credit analysis with a key focus on Project Finance (PPP) transactions & Corporate/Structured Finance. The candidate should have understanding of complex financing transactions, including Project Financing under PPP along with complete understanding of the Financial model and various other key considerations implicit to the PPP.
• Analysing the acceptable returns on capital being invested, in line with the Banks strategic objectives. Analysing DIBs share of wallet share and prospects of ancillary business from the relationships.
• Performing detailed due diligence for Credit Underwritings ensuring compliance to the banks policies, regulatory guidelines and rolled out PPP policy. Credit analyst needs to ensure that adequate risk mitigation strategies are in place.
• Thorough Knowledge of IFRS-9 standards, CRM guidelines and CB-UAE Policies.
• Ensuring regular and meaningful engagement with key external stakeholders, including business, RMD, CAD, Audit and other departments whenever required.
• Adhere to best practices in Credit analysis, credit presentation, transaction structure & portfolio management.
• Well versed with complex financing structures, PF transactions, Sharia, capital & RORWA/ROC implication and market developments.
• Coordinating with business, wherever appropriate, with developments that warrant account to be on early alert & remedial plans.
• Ensure knowledge and compliance with internal policies, prevailing laws, regulations, best practices and Sharia guidelines.
• Maintaining a strong audit culture by ensuring all Group Risk, Compliance, HR and Operational guidelines and procedures are adhered to.
• Provide coaching & guidance to team members and other stakeholders across the Bank.

Work experience:

• Minimum 7-8 years, experience of working with Corporate and Credit Risk Management.

Education:

• Minimum Bachelors degree / Masters with major in business management and finance and accounting will be a plus.
