The head region EMEA (Europe, Middle East & Africa) is now looking for a Regional Director to lead one of our 4 regional business units, Middle East & Africa (MEA). MEA is a vibrant and highly diverse region with big potential, constituting an important part of Axis and the head regional growth plan.

The position is based in our office in Dubai and requires extensive travelling.

WHAT WILL YOU DO

As Regional Director for Middle East & Africa (MEA), you will be responsible for a business of around 100 Mio Euro and more than 70 employees. The responsibility includes sales, sales-engineering, marketing, finance & operations, and human resources to ensure the achievement of our growth objectives while adhering to our values and honouring our channel and partnerships.

Your primary objective is to growth the business in accordance with our strategy, tactics and values. You will be entrusted with executing Axis and EMEA strategies within the business unit, while also possessing the agility to tailor these strategies to regional requirements.

The role has budgetary and P&L responsibility, and you will execute your job through a team of managers with responsibility for Sales, Sales Engineering, Marketing, HR, Finance and Operations. Together with your team, you ensure the effective and compliant operations of the business unit.

A pivotal aspect of your role as Regional Director is to lead and cultivate the EMEA organization as a member of the EMEA Leadership team, contributing to and shaping EMEAs overall success.

This role reports to the Vice President of EMEA.

We are looking for a goal-oriented business and people leader with experience of driving and scaling growth. We think you possess great capabilities to inspire and lead teams and leaders, in combination with expertise in formulating, executing, and adhering to strategies and tactics.

As collaboration is a cornerstone for this position you should thrive in a collaborative environment where you are expected to seek understanding, influence outcomes, and share knowledge with colleagues, partners, and customers. For this purpose and more your communication and influencing skills need to be excellent.

We also think you have proven experience from working in diverse, multicultural teams. The role involves collaboration across our key regional offices in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Turkey, Kazakhstan, and South Africa, so an understanding of cross-cultural dynamics and regional business practices is important.

We value self-awareness in our leaders. Thus, you should have a sound understanding of your strengths and weaknesses, always looking to develop yourself.

Apart from above you should:

  • Have a university degree within business management or related field.
  • Have proven success from leading people and managers in an international sales environment (+10 years). Preferably touching many functions.
  • Have experience from leading leaders.
  • Come from a solid sales background, preferably from technology and an indirect sales model.
  • Have previous experience from budgeting and P&L responsibility.
  • Be fluent in English.
