Senior Electrical Technician (Facilities)

Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Electrical Technician for a government affiliated entity based in the UAE.

Location Sharjah, UAE

Salary 5,000 AED/month + benefits

Qualifications & Experience:

A minimum of 5 years of experience in an electrical background.

Possession of experience certificates from previous employers to validate prior roles and responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform preventive maintenance (PPM) for electrical systems across all the company destinations in accordance with the approved schedule.

Prepare PPM and service reports in compliance with the established checklist process.

Carry out comprehensive electrical maintenance tasks, including:Installation and maintenance of electrical cables, wiring, controllers, and lighting systems.

Inspection of electrical components, including Main Distribution Boards (MDBs), Sub-Main Distribution Boards (SMDBs), Distribution Boards (DBs), transformers, and circuit breakers.

Identification of electrical issues using various testing devices.

Repair or replacement of wiring, equipment, and fixtures using appropriate tools.

Supervise the implementation of new power provisions by third-party vendors as per site-specific requirements.

Prepare asset lists for new projects to ensure proper documentation and tracking.

Respond promptly to reactive maintenance requests and address them according to priority levels and timelines.

Conduct site inspections to oversee and ensure compliance during fit-out work related to electrical systems.

Proficiency in providing accurate updates and detailed performance reports to the line manager.

Commitment to ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards, while fostering a safe working environment.

In-depth knowledge and expertise in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) maintenance.

About the Role:

To ensure the successful delivery of projects and tasks undertaken by the in-house electrical team. This role encompasses the full range of responsibilities, including conducting site inspections, performing servicing and maintenance of all electrical assets, and ensuring all work adheres to established specifications, quality standards.
