Job Description
The Finance Officer (Accounts Payable & Payroll) is responsible for processing and managing the companys accounts payable functions and ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing. This role involves managing payment schedules, verifying invoices, and handling payroll administration, while ensuring compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and relevant regulations, and supporting financial reporting and contributing to the smooth operation of the companys financial systems.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Accounts Payable : Process supplier invoices, verify supporting documentation, and match purchase orders.
Maintain and update supplier accounts, ensuring accurate and timely payments.
Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Monitor due dates and schedule payments to suppliers in accordance with contractual terms.
Collaborate with procurement and operations departments to ensure proper expense allocation and approval procedures.
Prepare and review accounts payable aging reports and propose actions for overdue invoices.
Payroll Administration: Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll for employees, including monthly salary payments, allowances, and deductions (taxes, benefits, etc.).
Maintain and update employee payroll records and ensure compliance with relevant labor laws and company policies.
Manage and process employee expense claims, benefits, and compensation adjustments.
Reconcile payroll accounts, ensuring proper posting to general ledger accounts.
Coordinate with HR to ensure the accuracy of employee records and contract details for payroll purposes.
Vendor Management & Reconciliation: Liaise with vendors to resolve payment issues, discrepancies, and other related queries.
Perform regular reconciliations of accounts payable balances, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
Reporting & Documentation:Prepare reports on accounts payable and payroll activities, providing updates to the Finance Control Manager
Maintain accurate records of all payroll transactions, including salaries, bonuses, and deductions.
Compliance & Auditing:Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, preparing tax filings for payroll-related activities.
Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations as required.
Educational Background: Bachelors degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional qualifications such as CPA or CMA are an advantage.
Experience: Minimum 5-7 years of experience in accounts payable and payroll functions within a large company, preferably in an oil and gas or similar industry.
Salary : AED 10000 pmTenure : 6 Months Extendable
