Chief Technology Officer (CTO) | FinTech | Dubai

A fast-scaling payments fintech is looking to appoint a Chief Technology Officer to lead its next phase of growth. This is a key leadership role, shaping the technology vision, scaling the platform, and building a high-performing engineering organisation.

This opportunity is open to both established CTOs and senior technology leaders ready to step into their first CTO role.

The Role

You will take full ownership of the technology function, working closely with the founders and leadership team to drive product innovation, platform scalability, and technical excellence.

• Define and execute the overall technology strategy aligned with business goals
• Lead, scale, and mentor engineering and product teams
• Oversee architecture, platform performance, security, and reliability
• Drive the development of scalable payments infrastructure and integrations
• Collaborate with product, operations, and commercial teams to deliver impactful solutions
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and security standards across fintech/payments
• Build best-in-class engineering practices, processes, and culture

• Proven experience in a senior technology leadership role (CTO, VP Engineering, or similar)
• Strong background in fintech, payments, or financial services technology
• Experience building and scaling high-availability, secure platforms
• Deep understanding of payments infrastructure, APIs, and integrations
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing and growing teams
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced, scaling environment
