Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled professional to manage our end-to-end supply chain operations in China for our Agricultural Inputs and other Chemicals product range.
The candidate will work in our supply chain department in Dubai and will be responsible for supplier identification, order coordination, pre-shipment inspections, product development support, product cost analysis, and export documentation procedures for our product imports from China.An overseas team in China will be available to support.
Key Responsibilities- Supplier Management
- Identify, evaluate, and coordinate lead times to achieve optimal cost efficiency.
- Conduct factory visits and supplier audits to ensure compliance with company and international regulatory standards as well as maintaining the audit reports.
- Build and maintain long-term supplier relationships to ensure product consistency and reliability.
- Quality Assurance & Inspection
- Oversee pre-shipment quality and packaging inspections of each batch. Alongside you there will be other team members to support in the product inspections.
- Coordinate with Suppliers about the packaging material arrival dates, production schedule and expecting loading dates for pre-shipment inspection planning.
- Collect routine product inspection lab reports and share with the overseas team
- Coordinate and identify third-party labs for additional independent testing when required.
- Maintain quality documentation, inspection reports and ensure adherence to importing country regulations and importer standards
- Follow up with the overseas team to collect feedback sheets and claim sheets in case any issues are detected in the goods after arrival.
- Document and resolve any quality deviations and coordinate corrective actions with manufacturers for further avoidance.
- Documentation & Logistics
- Verify all export documentation (invoice, packing list, COC, COA, MSDS, test reports, B/L, etc.) upon requirement.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders in case of FOB shipments for freight booking, timely and compliant shipments.
- Track shipments and update the overseas team on loading status and deviations.
- Data Collection
- Support the overseas development team based on their requirements by collecting the data below and sharing them:
- New formulations, packaging, product types and labeling information in China
- Chinese custom export data for Supplier identification
- New and existing product registration data in China
- Alternative/new product recommendations from Suppliers.
- Product Samples and manuals for application
- Lab reports for formulation optimization
- Attending industry events like conferences, exhibitions like CAC, ACE etc. to stay up to date with industry trends and new developments.
- Send potential product samples with manuals, field application videos and methods, COC, COA from suppliers to the Import market teams for new/alternative product development.
- Collect documents from Suppliers/Manufacturers/Certified labs in China and send to the overseas team for product registration purposes.
- Reporting & Communication
- Maintain updated supply and inspection reports in an organized format for analysis, comparison, and coordination.
- Submit regular status reports, supplier performance reviews, and cost summaries as per the company requirements.
- Maintain structured records of samples and purchase orders.
- Be active and dynamic in resolving issues and streamlining all communication with the relevant vendors and authorities.
- Communicate effectively with the overseas team ensuring timely updates and clarity on all active projects.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Agriculture, Supply Chain or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in pesticide/agrochemical supply and export documentation from China.
- Strong understanding of Chinese pesticide export documentation and export logistics.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills in English and Mandarin with experience in working with international buyers or trading companies.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical and ability to work independently with integrity.
- Ability to travel across China for supplier visits, inspections and audits when required.
- Willingness to travel to import markets to meet the overseas teams and evaluate product performance and market feedback.
- Ability to maintain a strong attention to detail about product compliance, standards, product and packaging specifications and shipment instructions for all orders.
