Traffic Safety Control Officer

Job Description

About this role:

• Assist in the layout and design of traffic management systems
• Develop detailed traffic control plans for the projects to obtain no objection letters from the authorities.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and local authorities to ensure the plans comply with local regulations and safety standards.
• Conduct pre-operational risk assessments to identify potential hazards related to traffic control activities.
• Ensure traffic control devices such as signs, cones, barriers, and traffic signals as per the approved traffic control plan.
• Regularly inspect and traffic devices to ensure ongoing effectiveness and compliance.
• Respond to and manage incidents, accidents, or emergencies within the traffic control zone, and Investigate incidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Supervise traffic control personnel to ensure compliance with safety standards and effective implementation of traffic control measures.
• Train construction personnel in traffic safety procedures and the proper use of traffic control devices.
• Stay updated on local, state, and federal traffic control regulations and standards.
• Maintain accurate records of traffic control activities, inspections, incidents, and training sessions.
• Perform any other duties as are within the scope as assigned by the superior(s).
• Interaction with project team members on a day-to-day basis.
• Interaction with all relevant sections/ departments on requirement basis.
• Support to maintain a healthy & safe environment at the workplace.
• Follow the rules and regulations according to the company policy.

Occupational and workplace Health and Safety responsibilities:

Information Security responsibilities:

• Comply with Basatin Information Security Policies
• Be aware of and fulfil their information security responsibilities
• Ensure whoever handles sensitive company information have taken the Security Awareness Training
• Know how to report a security incident (to IT ServiceDesk or InfoSec).
• Not Disable his/her OS firewall and/or Antivirus
• Restrict use to authorized purposes, Protect access accounts, privileges and associated passwords.
• Accept accountability of his/her individual user accounts, and maintain confidentiality

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree/Diploma in a relevant field.
• 2-3 years experience in relevant field.
• Relevant certificates in trafficmanagement are a plus
• Driving license.
• Relevant certificates in traffic management.
• Knowledge of ITC regulations and requirements.
