Senior Strategic Program Coordinator
Job Description
We are currently looking for a highly organised and proactive Senior Strategic Program Coordinator to join us at the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) on a 12-month contract.
DCT Abu Dhabi plays a central role in driving the sustainable growth of the emirate's culture and tourism sectors, positioning Abu Dhabi as a global destination for culture, creativity, and tourism. This role offers the opportunity to support a dynamic and growing function by strengthening operational visibility, improving reporting processes, and enabling effective coordination across internal teams and central services.
Role Overview
The Senior Strategic Program Coordinator will provide structured operational, reporting, and coordination support to the Executive Director's office and wider Operations function. The role will focus on developing dashboards, consolidating internal reports, tracking key operational activities, coordinating with shared services, and supporting the formalisation of emerging operational processes.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone with strong operations experience, excellent stakeholder management skills, and the ability to use data, dashboards, and technology to improve decision-making and reduce manual effort.
Key Responsibilities
Administration & Operational Support- Support meeting preparation, action tracking, and follow-up across leadership meetings
- Maintain and organise key operational documents, trackers, and reference materials
- Support scheduling coordination, travel logistics, and event preparation where required
- Ensure follow-ups and action items are clearly documented and progressed
- Design, build, and maintain dashboards to track activity across key functions
- Identify trends, flag risks, and surface actionable insights for leadership decision-making
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports for the Director and key internal stakeholders
- Consolidate unified status updates across tasks and projects
- Support the preparation of briefing materials and ad hoc reports for leadership requests
- Ensure reporting is accurate, timely, and aligned with stakeholder requirements
- 5–7 years of relevant operations experience, ideally within a government entity or large, multi-layered organisation
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in the GCC
- Experience at Consultant, Senior Consultant, Manager, or equivalent level
- Strong experience in operational reporting, dashboards, stakeholder coordination, and process improvement
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and reporting tools
- Familiarity with AI tools to support reporting, drafting, data analysis, and workflow automation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Experience in a start-up, build-phase, or newly established function is a strong advantage
- Experience supporting senior leadership or Executive Director-level stakeholders
- Exposure to government, consulting, strategy, operations, or shared services environments
- Experience in gaming or adjacent sectors would be an advantage, but is not a requirement
- Strong ability to use technology to streamline manual processes and improve operational efficiency
