Job Description

Job Purpose:

  • To lead, supervise and control the department's daily functions in compliance with bank's policies and procedures. To ensure timely and satisfactory completion of the department's daily functions
  • Display UAB values of Integrity, Customer focus, Competence, Consistency and Courteousness
  • Timely reporting to concerned parties on all Operational Risk, Fraud and AML issues.
  • Risk Management obligation is the systematic application of management policies, procedures and practices to the tasks of identifying, analyzing, evaluating, treating and monitoring risk. This helps to mitigate risks to acceptable levels of management.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Prepare operations guidelines and procedures for Treasury Back Office operations and reporting systems.
  • Verification of all transaction made by the Treasury Front Office and validated by Officer Back Office.
  • Carry out the payments and confirmation events in the system to generate settlement and confirmation messages.
  • Authorization and transmission of payment and receipts messages related to Foreign Exchange, Money Market and Derivative Operations.
  • Validation, Authorization and transmission of confirmation messages related to Interbank and corporate deals.
  • Verification and authorization of vouchers related to manually processed deals.
  • Input and validation of daily rate fixing in the system.
  • Generate reports related to Treasury and Corporate deals and provide to concerned departments.
  • Verification of all control reports for Treasury Operations.
  • Processing of Mark-to-market revaluation of all derivative operations and capital market instruments and related entries.
  • Verification and authorization of the monthly accruals of interest and premium on derivatives and debt instruments.
  • Verification and authorization of the centralized local AED payments in Central Bank system.
  • Preparation of reports for submission to the concerned departments.
  • Assist the Bank in complying with CBUAE Operational Risk regulation and implementing UAB's Operational Risk Management framework

Job Requirements (Qualification/Experience):

  • University Graduate
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Treasury Back Office operations including 2 years in supervisory capacity.
  • Experience in Banking Operations.
  • Specialization in settlement
  • processes of various Treasury products including derivatives.
  • Understanding of various documentations under Treasury (ISDA/ CSA/GMRA/ISMA).
  • Exposure in maintaining relationship with correspondent Banking relationship within international Banks.
