Synopsis
Etihad is hiring someone to manage HR communications & events - plan, design and deliver strategic and lifecycle HR communications and People & Corporate Affairs events for the HR leadership, in support of the HR vision, mission, strategy, priority programmes, policies and processes.
Accountabilities- Lead and own the development of the HR communications strategy, ensuring the outputs of the HR strategies are aligned to the Etihad values, brand and 'tone of voice', and to the People plan;
- Define both narrative-driven communications to help people understand where they fit, why they matter, and how they make an impact on our People Strategy objectives and the company purpose;
- Translate the People strategy and priorities into clear and concise communications throughout the year;
- Drive the HR brand building with internal stakeholders, i.e., so they know what we do and how we are creating value for them;
- Develop and implement communications and events plans to support major HR projects and lifecycles (performance management, succession planning and engagement cycles), policy refresh and events, ensuring consistency of style and tailoring content to target audience requirements;
- Define and own budget for communication, HR branding and events;
- Establish a clear set of two-way global and local communications channels between HR and the business

- Support the Chief People & Corporate Affairs Officer and HR Leadership Team in the development of internal presentations, ensuring the HR narrative is told professionally and consistently to a wide range of audiences;
- Coordinate efforts to deliver quality visuals and imagery for strategic programmes - photoshoot requirements, video scripts, microsite creation, event run sheet, etc.;
- Partner proactively with communications specialists across Etihad, as well as the Learning & Development, and Brand & Marketing teams, to ensure the alignment of local and global HR communications, and ensure consistency of messaging;
- Establish and manage a robust set of communications measures to assess the performance of HR communications, as well as a framework to establish the 'Voice of the Customer' to inform the design of HR interventions;
- Own the design and content for HR for the Etihad intranet, ensuring best practice and up-to-date communications of HR programmes, events, policies, procedures and processes;
- Drive the development of the Etihad employer brand principles and style, ensuring all Etihad HR communications are consistent with its application.
Influence and engage stakeholders through effective communication strategies that drive positive sentiment and engagement with Etihad, and ensure transparency of HR policies and processes.
Education & Experience- Degree level education in communications, marketing, brand, or related discipline is required;
- Post holder must have a minimum of 7 years communications or journalism experience in high profile organisations required, preferably within an HR environment, with proven ability of handling internal communications and events; experience in strategic communications planning and management of major projects or issues;
- Airline experience is advantageous, as is previous experience of working in a dynamic and fast-changing environment;
- Autonomous decision-making and delivery of HR communications.
